Wayamba university is one of the best in the fields of food science, agriculture, business studies and applied sciences. It was a sluggish start but by now the university has grown into a modern and one of the promising universities in the island.

It comprise of four faculties in two separate premises. Faculty of Livestock, fisheries & nutrition and faculty of agriculture & plantation management are located in the makandura premises while the kuliyapitiya premises accommodates both the faculty of business studies & finance and faculty of applied sciences. The university is also proudly awaiting it’s newest companion; the medical faculty.

Modern and sophisticated laboratories, a world class auditorium, a classy indoor stadium and a well built farm are a few perks that the university has in its inventory. The undergraduates who are extremely privileged to exploit these facilities end up being high calibre and highly demanded graduates among the employers.

But still it’s a job half done as the wayamba university never seems to quench it’s thirst of becoming the no.1 university in the island.
